The Serbian holiday voucher is worth 10,000 dinars (about €85) and can only be used for accommodation, for a stay of at least five nights away from your place of residence. In 2026 it is available to pensioners whose pension is no more than 80,000 dinars a month, and it is valid until 1 November 2026. In Vrnjačka Banja 523 places accept vouchers, more than in any Serbian municipality except Sokobanja. The rules below are from the 2026 decree, checked on 19 October 2026.
Who qualifies in 2026
- Pensioners whose monthly pension does not exceed 80,000 dinars.
- Pensioners with a pension from abroad, with a confirmation from a bank in Serbia of the monthly amount.
The government planned 30,000 vouchers for 2026. The rules change from year to year, so the next round may cover different people.
How to get a voucher, step by step
- Choose accommodation from the list of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth. The voucher is valid only with hosts on that list.
- Book at least five nights. The host gives you a booking confirmation from the eTurista system.
- Apply in person at a Pošta Srbije (Post of Serbia) counter, with your ID card or passport and the booking confirmation.
- Vouchers are allocated in order of application while the budget lasts, so applying early matters.
- The voucher arrives by post, as a registered letter handed to you in person at the address on the application.
- At the end of your stay you sign the voucher and the host gives you a receipt for the accommodation.
What the voucher covers and what it does not
- Accommodation only. Food, drinks, pools and treatments are paid separately.
- Up to 10,000 dinars, once a year. If the stay costs more, you pay the difference to the host.
- The voucher is personal and valid at the place named on the booking confirmation.
- Deadline: 2026 vouchers can be used up to and including 1 November 2026.
