Vrnjačka Banja is at its liveliest from July to mid-August. That is when the Vrnjačka Banja International Carnival takes place, eight days of concerts and children’s shows ending in a big international parade, which by visitor numbers ranks alongside Guča and Exit. The same part of summer brings the “Vrnjci” Classical Music Festival, the Film Screenplay Festival on the summer stage, and Lovefest, an electronic music festival in Jezero Park that has lately run over two weekends.
The rest of the year is quieter but not empty. Over the holidays the tourist organisation puts on the “Vrnjačka New Year’s Fairy Tale”, concerts on Trg kulture from 30 December to the Serbian New Year, and on 14 February Valentine’s Day is marked on the Bridge of Love, the place the spa is known for.
Organisers announce their dates at different times, and the same festival moves from year to year: the Film Screenplay Festival was in July in 2025 and in August in 2026. So we note when each festival was last checked, and until new dates are known we give its usual time of year and when it was last held.
If you are coming for the Carnival or Lovefest, book early, as the spa is full. If you prefer it quiet, choose June or September, when the weather is still good and prices are lower.
