About the festival

On Valentine’s Day, 14 February, the Bridge of Love hosts the “Kiss me” (“Poljubi me”) contest: couples gather on the bridge at noon and compete for the longest kiss. It has been held since 2007, inspired by the story of the teacher Nada and the officer Relja that gave the bridge its name.

Prizes go to the longest and the most attractive kiss, and to the oldest couple taking part. The record is 112 minutes, set in 2020 by a couple from Kruševac. The bridge is decorated for the day, with a dance programme alongside the contest.

Couples sign up with the Vrnjačka Banja tourist organisation on +381 36 611 105, or on the spot on the day. Watching is free.

February is quieter in the spa, which makes this a good excuse for a romantic weekend: after the bridge come the spas and thermal pools, open all winter.
