About the place
Snežnik is a cold mineral spring in the Vrnjačka river valley, the farthest from the centre of the four springs used in treatment. The water is 17 °C, alkaline-earth and naturally carbonated. The spring was known by the late 19th century and was built up and capped in 1916.
You reach Snežnik on foot through the park along the Vrnjačka river, about fifteen minutes from the Topla voda spring. In the warm season a tourist train also runs from the Merkur hotel, handy for older visitors and families with small children. The spring has a park of the same name around it.
The water is free, and a board by the spring lists its composition. As at the other springs, mineral water is drunk as a treatment on the advice of a doctor from the Merkur Special Hospital, and anyone with a chronic condition or on medication should ask their own doctor first.
You can walk on to the Jezero and Slatina springs; the whole round is described in the mineral springs of Vrnjačka Banja.
