What a taxi costs

The price list Beni Taxi publishes on its website:

  • Tariff 1 (standard): 200 dinars to start, 85 dinars per kilometre.
  • Tariff 2: 250 dinars to start, 150 dinars per kilometre. It applies only on New Year’s Eve, Orthodox Christmas and Lovefest, from 20:00 to 06:00.
  • Waiting: 1,500 dinars an hour on both tariffs.
  • Luggage: 50 dinars per piece.

An ordinary night ride outside those three events is charged at the standard tariff. Profi Taxi’s website shows an older price list, so ask for the current fare when you call.

Examples on Beni’s price list

  • A 2 km ride: about 370 dinars.
  • A 3 km ride: about 455 dinars, and about 700 on New Year’s night.
  • A 5 km ride: about 625 dinars.
  • To Goč mountain (about 15 km): about 1,500 dinars one way.

For Goč, the monasteries and longer trips, agree on the price, waiting time and the return before you set off.

Taxis to Belgrade, Niš and the airports

Profi Taxi’s website lists fixed fares for longer trips from Vrnjačka Banja:

  • Belgrade and Nikola Tesla Airport: €150.
  • Novi Sad: €200.
  • Niš and Constantine the Great Airport: €100.

The fare is per car, not per person. The website has not been updated for some time, so confirm the amount when you book. For one or two people the bus is much cheaper: departures and fares are in how to get to Vrnjačka Banja.

Where the taxi stands are

Taxi stands are, among other places, at the Putnik car park, at the bus station, by Hotel Fontana, by the lake (Jezero) and by the health centre (Dom zdravlja). You can take a car at a stand or call one to your address.

When you do not need a taxi

The centre of Vrnjačka Banja is small and most places are a few minutes’ walk apart. The bus station is about 600 metres from the centre, under ten minutes on foot, so you only need a taxi with heavy luggage.

In the warm season a tourist train runs through the spa between Hotel Merkur and the Snežnik spring every half hour. A ticket is 200 dinars for adults and 100 for children aged 3 to 7.

If you come by car, parking in the centre is paid by zone. Prices and how to pay are in parking in Vrnjačka Banja.
