About the place

The “Rimski izvor” spa, Fons Romanus in Latin, is in the Thermal Mineral Bath building in the central park of Vrnjačka Banja and belongs to the Merkur Special Hospital. Its name comes from the Topla voda spring, which the Romans already used. Merkur presents it as the largest spa centre in this part of the Balkans.

There are five parts under one roof. The wellness centre has an indoor mineral-water pool, a jacuzzi, Finnish and Turkish saunas, a Kneipp stream, heated benches and a meditation room. The massage centre does massages, manicures, pedicures and facials. The medical aesthetics centre offers cavitation, radio-frequency, lymphatic drainage and the Zerona laser. The peloid centre has mineral mud treatments and a Vichy shower, and the balneo centre the classic spa procedures: drinking the water, baths, inhalations and douches.

Entry to the wellness area is 1,500 dinars, on the price list valid from 1 July to 31 October 2026. Treatments are extra: an inhalation or lymphatic drainage 400 dinars each, a mud treatment 630, cavitation 2,400 dinars. The wellness area is open from 8:00 to 20:00.

This is the place if you want more than a pool: you can combine a massage or a spa procedure with a swim on the same day. Book treatments in advance through Merkur’s booking office.
