With children in Vrnjačka Banja most of the time goes to the pools, which are open all year, and in summer to the water park. The park, the promenade, the maze and the Bridge of Love are free, the zoo is 4 kilometres away, and in winter Goč mountain has a ski school for beginners. Below are the places and the prices for children, checked on 19 October 2026.

Pools open all year

Vrnjačke Terme has five indoor pools with thermal water, and in summer three outdoor ones, one of them for children. Prices for children:

  • Under 2: free.
  • Aged 2 to 7: 800 dinars for a day ticket.
  • From 7 and adults: 1,200 dinars on weekdays, 1,500 at weekends.

Children under 16 may only use the pools with a parent or guardian. At the Tonanti hotel spa children under four go free and those aged 4 to 12 pay half. Children under 12 may use the spa until 18:00, but not the thermal mineral pool or the saunas.

The rules for children at the other hotel pools, with times and prices, are in indoor pools in Vrnjačka Banja.

Summer: Aqua park Raj

Aqua park Raj is open from June to September. Prices for 2027 are not out yet. In 2024 children under 100 cm went free, children of 100 to 150 cm paid 2,100 dinars on weekdays and 2,300 at weekends, and a family ticket for two adults and two children was from 8,000 dinars.

The park and the promenade

The central park and the riverside promenade are free and big enough for a whole day out with children:

  • The maze: a green maze of 440 cypresses, opposite the Japanese garden. Entry is free.
  • The Japanese garden: a pond, a cascading waterfall and a wooden footbridge.
  • The children’s playground: new, opened in June 2026, with a pirate ship and the „Bagerko“ mini excavator park. More on the children’s playground page.
  • The Bridge of Love and the fountains along the promenade. More on the Bridge of Love page.
  • The Ferris wheel: 650 dinars for adults, 500 for children. More on the Ferris wheel page.
  • The tourist train: in the warm season it runs from Hotel Merkur to the Snežnik spring every half hour. A ticket is 200 dinars for adults and 100 for children aged 3 to 7.

Vrnjci Zoo

The zoo is in the village of Vrnjci, 4 kilometres from the spa, right on the main road towards Kraljevo. It is open every day from 08:00 to 19:00.

  • Under 3: free.
  • Aged 3 to 12: 500 dinars.
  • Over 12: 800 dinars.

The zoo also has the “Životinjsko carstvo” indoor play centre, over 650 m², open from 09:00 to 21:00 and used for children’s birthday parties. You get there by car or by taxi, about 550 dinars each way.

Goč: snow in winter, forest in summer

Goč is 15 kilometres and 20 minutes’ drive from the spa. In winter there is a ski school on the “Mali princ” run, so Goč is a good place for children’s first steps on skis. Details are in skiing on Goč.

In summer the easiest walk for families is the small loop around Lake Selište: 2.35 km with a 70-metre climb, 45 minutes to an hour.

When to come with children

  • Summer: the water park, outdoor pools and the tourist train. In mid-July there is the Vrnjački Carnival, which has a children’s programme too; in 2026 it had three children’s plays.
  • Winter: the thermal pools and Goč. Over the holidays there is New Year’s Eve on Trg kulture.
  • Spring and autumn: fewer crowds and lower accommodation prices, with the indoor pools and the park.

Where to stay as a family

For a family an apartment with a kitchen is usually the most practical. A one-bedroom apartment for four often costs less than two hotel rooms, and the price is for the whole apartment, not per person. Places with prices are on accommodation in Vrnjačka Banja, and costs in what a trip costs.
